After my dad passed away March 17, 2017, I decided to tear up the old carpet. I put new, blue carpet in my parents room and turned it into a library. I put brushed hickory hardwood in the hallway, living room and what is now the wood stove room (used to be the computer room).
Not quite finished, but getting there. I’m going to put two shelves up where I have green tape…then I’ll be happy!
I tore the carpet up myself.
The border wall paper is coming down and the walls are going to be painted the same color yellow.
It’s so much better having hardwood floors, especially during the summer!
I originally got the dark brown paint…I wanted to paint all of the walls in the library that color. But I ran out and when I went back to Wal-Mart to get more, the girl didn’t know how to mix that particular color. So, I had to improvise! The outside walls are dark and the inside walls are light. I know it should be the other way around, but it works for me.
The closet wall (above) is lighter than the other wall, but you can hardly tell.
These photos were taken while I was in the process of remodeling. I also redid my bedroom and the small guest room, but that is for other post.
I guess that’s about all I have for today! Hope everyone has a great day and an even better week!
