More River Pictures

Catoctin Creek?

I’m pretty sure this is Catoctin Creek, where it dumps into the Potomac River. I’ll have to look it up on a map.

We want to try and get down there and catch some shiners (minnows). It’s just so boggy…if there was another way other than from the path, we would take it.

Ducks on the water

yellow sunflower, wildflower

The water is quite low…it’s been a while since it’s rained.

So, that’s pretty much all the pictures I took while fishing on the Potomac River – the best of them anyway. At one point, we thought we saw a beaver – turned out it was a rock sticking out of the water. That’s how low the water was. It really, honestly, looked like a beaver. (Of course, we were quite a distance from it, so…)

I just got some photos of a baby deer! That’s partially the reason why my posts are late today – plus I needed to edit these pictures so I would have something to post today! I’ll give you details tomorrow – I’ll have them edited by then!

Just something weird I found on the internet… too bad I missed it!

Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day | July 27

Who doesn’t love a reason to be weird? Well 27th July is Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day, this is a crazy day where you walk your houseplants around, so they can get to know their environment a little more, which provides them with a sense of knowing and familiarization to their surround areas.

This special day was invented by Thomas & Ruth Roy, it is a copyrighted holiday, which means if this day is used to raise money, you must first inform the creators and come to an arrangement.

It is important for humans to get exercise and is also unimportant for your plants to have the occasional exercise too.

While you walk your houseplants, I suggest talking to them, spraying them with a fresh spray of water and playing music. Although if you meet somebody else on your travels also enjoying this day, be careful of cross-pollination!

Hope everyone has a great day! Stay out of trouble if you can…

By the way, today is National Cheesecake Day! (THAT is something I could partake in!!)
