1269 Photos: THIS AND THAT

August 15, 2019

So, I don’t have any point and shoot photos for today! This is just a mumbo jumbo of photos I took last month. (If you recall this series is about the July Photos I took last month.)

I hope you enjoy!

I have no idea what that little bug is…but she (or he) is pretty. And camera shy. I only got one photo, as soon as I snapped this picture, she (or he) moved to the other side. I followed, she moved. I tried a couple of times to get another photo, but she kept moving. So I walked away. At least I got one, and it’s a good one (IMHO)!

4 Creepy Cicada Shells

If I find it interesting, I will photograph it! I have been that way since I was a little girl.

Fallen Soldier

“Do you know the legend about cicadas? They say they are souls of poets because, when they were alive, they never wrote the poems that they wanted to.” – John Berger

Fallen Walnut

“I’m a hard nut to crack, and I take it standing up.”

– Bram Stoker, Dracula

“My mother early on taught us to respect all animals, and I mean all animals – not just cats and dogs but rats and snakes and spiders and fish and wildlife, so I really grew up believing they are just like us and just as deserving of consideration.” – Joanna Lumley

And, of course, I had to include a spider! They are everywhere right now! Been sitting here for a little while, watching two build a web. The one in this photo (above) is out in the field somewhere.

On a side note…my main toilet is leaking! I’m pretty sure the nuts and bolts (hahaha) that hold the tank on the bowl have rusted and need to be replaced! I’ve turned the water off to that toilet and drained the tank so there’s not as much water and heading to Lowe’s in a little bit. I’m hoping that we can find what we need. At some point, all the toilets need to be replaced, but for now, if we can find the nuts and bolts, this will do.

When it rains, it pours! Seems like that here recently! One thing after another! Could almost make you cry!! But I’m stronger than that!

I was going to tell you about my WIFI experience on Tuesday, but that will have to wait til tomorrow…or another day. The only thing I’ll say right now, is…the cable had been disconnected! Not at the house, but up on the pole, where there’s a box connected to other wires. It’s almost funny!!

Hope everyone has a great day, evening or night…wherever you may be!

“Everyone can identify with a fragrant garden, with beauty of sunset, with the quiet of nature, with a warm and cozy cottage.”

– Thomas Kincade

Thanks for visiting!!
