Catfish John

“Mama said, ‘Don’t go near that river,

Don’t be hanging around old ‘Catfish John.’

Come in the morning I’d always be there,

Walking in his footsteps in the sweet Delta dawn.”

  • written by Allen Reynolds/Bob Mcdill
  • released in November 1972 as the fourth single from the album “Catfish John”/ “Chained”
  • also been performed by Jerry Garcia, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Johnny Russell and other artists (wikipedia)

Ok, that’s enough facts for today. Later, I’ll do my READING post. I’m actually thinking about tweaking it – more than about reading, but also mythology, folklore…more about knowledge than about reading! So, we shall see. This weeks will be about Old King Cole. I’ve just got to figure out what to call the series…READING won’t work. Any ideas?

I guess that’s all I have for now!

Hope everyone has a great August day, night or evening where ever you are!

Today is International Bow Day and National Soft Ice Cream Day! Go tie a bow on and have some ice cream! You deserve it!!

Thanks for visiting!
