A Hummingbird And A Squirrel
I wasn’t sure if I should show these photos as a group, hummingbirds together, squirrels together. I think I like it this way! I hope you do too!!
The squirrels have pretty much eaten all the berries out of the dogwoods. There’s a few left, but not many.
The hummingbirds like to rest in the trees and keep an eye on the feeders…then chase each other away, one one comes to feed. It’s kinda fun to watch, and they can be quite noisy. My boyfriend thinks they’re just playing, but they are territorial, so I have my doubts. I’ve seen one sitting in one maple tree at one end of the house, and another in a tree at the other end of the house…kind of staring each other down.
With the photo above, the squirrel was actually hiding behind the clump of leaves. I managed to get the photo just as he stuck his head out!
So, I realize that I didn’t do my word of the day with the Advertisement (Fun With Words) post yesterday. So you’re getting it today!
