Not sure how many of these I’ve already posted, if any! If I did already show you these (like the first one), even just one, I apologize. It didn’t get moved into the “used” folder. But, it’s good enough to show you again! I hope you enjoy!!
I have a ton of folders on my computer – and a ton of stuff on my mind – so, sometimes I forget. So, should I tell you how I try to keep things organized? I guess so, since I’ve got you intrigued!
Folders!! Lots and lots of folders!! I’ve got main folders…2019, art, family, and such. Then I’ve got sub folders…Blog, Picfair, Pinterest, pictures with words, scanned art (artwork from school…either put in my portfolio or to be worked on). Then I’ve got folders inside of those folders…like, for instance, August…which are photos I’m blogging about now and uploading to Picfair or Pinterst, September…which has photos I’m working on now and will be blogging about and uploading next month.
Then, inside of each of those folders I have photos categorized by subject…bugs, moths, abstracts, scans, raindrops and the like. It can get a bit confusing…especially now that I’m making at least two copies – if not three – of every photo I work on.
When I finish working on a photo, the first thing I do is copyright it and name it…something like “tiny moth on my phone blog” (above) and size it appropriately (somewhere around one Megabyte). Not sure if that’s the right terminology, I think it is…it just makes the photo smaller without affecting the quality. Then, I undo everything up to and including the copyright, resize it, and save it for pinterest or picfair, depending on where I want it. It would be the same name, except that I put pin (for pinterest) or pic (for picfair) at the end. If I’ve put a quote, or some words on it, I put “words” at the end. And words photos, I more than likely have two copies of – one for the blog and one for pinterest.
Does any of that make any sense? I hope so! If you work with photos and use PhotoShop or any of the other photo editing software, you know what I’m talking about, I mean, writing about. (I’ll be doing a post on copyrighting and resizing soon, I’m just not comfortable with it yet, so soon, be sure to look for it.)
Anyway, I think I’ve bored you enough for the time being! If you want more info or to clarify anything, let me know and I will be sure to help in any way I can! (That’s it for my folders and how I at least try to keep track of everything!)
A personal thought on the photo above…
Ugg…my hands were so dry! And there’s a crack! It didn’t hurt, I guess it just goes to show you I’m a working girl!! I believe this is the same moth as in the first picture…I had picked it up to move it so my boyfriend didn’t step on it…and I decided to take a picture. As with most of the bugs I saved from the pool, or moved for whatever reason, it decided to stick around for a while.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoyed. Maybe even learned something new!!
Have a great day where ever life’s path may take you!!
