As many of you know, or maybe not, most of the photos I’ve been publishing are actually ones that were taken or worked on in Sept. Not all! I’ve started pulling old photos, like the one above and below, that I thought I could work on and maybe you’d enjoy! Hence the title.

When you see the title “LEFTOVERS” or subtitle of that name, you will know that the photos came from last month. I will try to include the date the photo was taken. If I get really involved, the date may be forgotten. Not on purpose, of course. It happens with this scattered brain that I have!!

Most of the time, I do give a subtitle “Back When” meaning not recent, “Way Back When” meaning a long time ago and “Even Now” which means it was taken in the last month or so.

purple creeps in

I believe you have seen this photo in green…I’ll let you decide what is going on in this photo! A story is happening, for sure.

A creepy snake in an unknown land with purple grass
geese fly in an orange and blue (?) spotted sky
or is it purple?

Here are some Halloween quotes for you to enjoy!

“I was working in the lab late one night/When my eyes beheld an eerie sight/For my monster from his slab began to rise/And suddenly to my surprise. He did the mash/He did the monster mash/The monster mash/It was a graveyard smash. He did the mash/It caught on in a flash/He did the mash/He did the monster mash.”

~ Song by Bobby “Boris” Pickett

“When the spooks have a midnight jamboree/They break it up with fiendish glee/The ghosts are bad but the one that’s cursed/Is the headless horseman; he’s the worst/That’s right, he’s a fright on Halloween night! When he goes a joggin’ ‘cross the land/Holding his noggin in his hand/Demons take one look and groan/And they hit the road to parts unknown/Beware, take care he rides alone!”

– From “The Headless Horseman The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949)

“Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble.” ~ From Shakespeare’s Macbeth

“Just because I cannot see it, doesn’t mean I can’t believe it!” ~ Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas

Have a great night, day or evening out there!

And stay safe!

Thanks for stopping by!
