Wintertime’s A Comin’

Nov 15, 2019

I just wanted to let you know that since winter’s coming, I won’t be getting out and doing as much hiking and such things. And since I’m already sick…it’s probably going to be a long, rough winter. Of course, I probably caught what my boyfriend has. Just not as bad!

Having said that, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be taking pictures! I’ll just be staying closer to home. There is beauty everywhere, every season – you just need to know how to look for it!

Don’t worry… I’ve got plenty of photos and stories to share, to get us through the cold, winter months ahead!!

I’m guessing this photo was taken this past winter…
the date stamp on the info says August 8, 2019
We definitely didn’t have snow in August
Not where I live!!

When we get a lot of snow, we won’t be getting out anyway! My little Aveo doesn’t go anywhere if we get more than 3 inches of snow. We do have my boyfriend’s Tahoe, four wheel drive. But if we don’t need to go anywhere, we don’t. We stock up before the storm hits and hunker down.

My neighbor does come and plow us out – for free! (In the spring I take him and his family a basket of fruit as a thank you!) Sometimes it takes a couple of days to get to us. We’ve been stuck back here for five days before…but that’s for another post!

New Hearth Rug

Glad we have the wood stove! And I love the new hearth rug! Now, I just need to get some shelving up! At the auction I went to a couple weekend’s ago I got a shelving unit, I just need to get it up on the wall.

There is more wood in the house now that it’s cold out!!

Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!!
