Nearing in on sunset. It was about 4pm when the photo was taken. We went down to Charlestown, West Virginia to get some last minute Thanksgiving dinner stuff. Which is why I’m a little late posting this.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, National French Toast Day, Turkey Free Thanksgiving, National Day of Mourning.
Ah… National Day of Mourning…my mother died Thanksgiving Day, 12 years ago. My grandfather died the same date in 1994 (Nov 22). It’s always a melancholy day. While I miss them both, I’m Thankful I had the years with them that I did. Always thankful!
