a dog laughing at me

Dec 21, 2019

I have no cell phone photos today! Sorry! I didn’t sleep well last night… I got 30-45 minutes plus 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night. What does that mean? 30 minutes plus 3 1/2 hours? I got around 30 minutes of sleep before my alarm went off at 1:15 am, then about 3 1/2 hours before my cat started meowing at 5:30 in the morning. Uggg!!! Double uggg!!!

do you see the face?

So, that means I didn’t do anything more than what I had to do today. In fact, I laid down for about 2 hours. Does a body good, at least this body! I hope I sleep well tonight, but, once again I will be setting my alarm for 1:15 in the morning so I can put wood in the wood stove. My boyfriend won’t do it, even though he says he’s going to. (Just a little secret, when I get up like that, I put a little snack in my cats dish so that way, hopefully, he lets me sleep. Sometimes it works.)

So what’s with the laughing dog?

Let me tell you… I had a dream! In that dream, last night, someone was trying to break in to my room while I was sleeping. But it wasn’t my room, this room had wood paneled walls. When who ever or what ever finally broke through the wall, there was a dog sitting in a wooden chair, laughing! I don’t think it was laughing at me, but it was definitely laughing!

Once I realized that I was dreaming and someone wasn’t really trying to break in, the dream changed from what could’ve been a nightmare into humor.

Did you know that you can control your dreams like that? You can. It’s called lucid dreaming. Usually a lucid dream is triggered by something that’s not right! In my description of the dream I had, the walls were wood paneling. As soon as I realized “this isn’t right”, the mood of my dream changed. (The walls in my room are sheet rock, painted light blue.) I usually just let get go and see what happens, but you can also control what happens in your dreams.

And about the laughing dog? Well, dreaming about dogs is usually about loyalty or that there is a talent that is hidden that (you) should recover at this time. Hmmm…..

The info below is from DREAMABOUTDOGLAUGHING.COM

Dreaming about a laughing dog means strong ties and bonds and fair dealings, you are well insulated from life’s problems and surrounded by beauty and points at summer pleasures

(the dog was sitting in a wooden deck chair)

and that you want to make somebody feel important.

(My son?)

A laughing dog dream is also a signal for a solid foundation of fortune and that you will overcome a problem that was giving you much anxiety.

(I have been anxious lately, mostly about how my boyfriend has been treating me and the bathtub faucet – for another post.)

“You are generating something new and different. A laughing dog dream is evidence of your untamed, animalistic nature and raw emotions. You are set on the path to self knowledge and self discovery.”

I take this as a good thing!

So, there will definitely be more about lucid dreaming and dream symbolism in the future, as I have had a few. But it will have to wait until later!

“The future is shaped by your dreams, so stop wasting time and go to sleep.”

“Tell me what is your dream job? In my dreams I don’t work.”

“In dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own.”

Tomorrow is National Date Nut Bread Day and Anne and Samantha Day (Anne Frank and Samantha Smith).

Hope you have a great day, night, or evening

where ever you may be!
