I was going to call this “Blue Sunset” but since the photo was taken at 3:42 pm (eastern US time), it’s not technically “sunset”! The sun sets at 5:05 where I live… and it’s not a remarkable sunset, so…

Sunset is technically “the apparent decent of the sun below the horizon line and (also) the atmospheric affects, according to Webster – Mirriam Dictionary.

  • Some of the colors of the sunset resemble something: The bright, red, pure colors at night mean that the air is clear to the west; this indicates there will be good weather in the morning. A red sky in the morning means that good, high pressure weather has already passed, indicating low pressure weather (storms) will be coming to the east. theodysseyonline
  • pollution causes the pretty/colorful sunsets 🙁 sad but pretty

“It’s almost impossible to watch the sunset and not dream.”
~ Bernard Williams

“Forever that girl that gets really excited when the sky is in pretty colors.” ~ unknown

“Red sky at night, sailors delight
Red sky in morning, sailors take warning.”

~ weather lore

“Enjoy each sunset for the promise of a better tomorrow” ~ unknown

Tomorrow is National Vision Board Day, National Arkansas Day, National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, National Milk Day, and National Step In A Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day,
