a simple day

March 17, 2020

Three years ago, today, my dad passed away due to liver disease…so I’ve just been taking real easy today. Keeping busy, but taking the time to reflect. With everything that’s going on in the country and around the world…I really just need to focus on what I need to focus on.

I had thought about writing about his final days, but I’m putting it in his book and will share with you that way. I was his caregiver for the last year, “technically”, but in reality, it was longer than that…since my mom passed away in 2007. And really, since before that…as a family – mom, dad, daughter, my son – we took care of each other. That’s what family does.

something to do with the c and o canal, maybe?
Amazon: Hans Christian Andersen’s Complete Fairy Tales

I have no idea what the great big, stone walls were built for, but I have a feeling that it may have had something to do with the C and O Canal…

Sorry I have been kinda absent today, just letting my mind rest and reflect today!
On the plus side, we bought a new pool today!!

Tomorrow is…

March 18
National Lacy Oatmeal Cookie Day
National Awkward Moments Day
National Biodiesel Day
National Sloppy Joe Day
National Supreme Sacrifice Day

Hope you have a great day, night or evening
where ever you may be!
Thanks for stopping by!!

linked to Amazon: Hans Christian Andersen’s Complete Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Anderson; available on kindle and hardcover; 784 pages, published by Canterbury Classics; Lea edition (October 1, 2014); “All the best-loved fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, including “The Ugly Duckling,” “Thumbelina,” “The Red Shoes,” “The Princess on the Pea,” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” fill the pages of this beautiful leather-bound collector’s edition. Also included is “The Tallow Candle”—one of the earliest stories written by Andersen, just discovered recently! A great book of bedtime stories or for rainy day reading, as there are both short and long anecdotes included. The attached bookmark ribbon ensures you’ll never lose your place as you wander through the imagination of one of the most popular children’s writers of all time. Curl up with this collection of classics and lose yourself in childhood memories.” (AMAZON) I am an amazon associate and may make money with qualified purchases. Thank you!
