Just A Quickie?

It took me longer that I thought it would to get back…keeping busy! The best thing to do, right? Anyway, we’ll see what all I can get to. President Trump is supposed to speak at 530pm, EST. We want to hear what all he has to say..with everything that is going on in the country…it almost feels like we’re living in a different world. Actually, it a is a different world…I think. We just have to wait and see…

Nothing else to do

But wait

It would be nice, though, if they would put the “party” aside and do what’s right for the country! That’s all I’m going to say on the subject, for now anyway!

So, getting how it is late… I’ll just provide a short list of what I’m doing to stay safe and sane. I think, I have an advantage over some…it’s not that hard to “socially distance” myself. I live on 3 1/3 acres, my closest neighbor is a farm, the farm house is about a quarter mile away. Give or take… And in all honesty, this past winter up until now isn’t much different than 2015/2016. My dad was sick with liver disease and when he came home from the hospital the last time and went into Hospice Care, I was home all the time…I went out once a week to get the shopping done. The last 5 days of his life, I didn’t leave the house at all. We were supposed to get a snow storm with up to 10 inches, so I went shopping on Sunday and got everything we would need for the rest of the week. On Tuesday, my dad went into a comma and passed away on Thursday. For those 48 hours, I was giving him morphine every 1 from 9 in the morning to midnight. From midnight til 9am it was every two hours. I didn’t sleep for three months after that. I just couldn’t sleep…I’d sleep for an hour or two and be up for the next 4 or 5. So, if I can survive that, I think I can survive almost anything. Not that I’m invincible or anything like that. If you asked me the hardest part of life so far…it would be saying bye to my dad. But – I will see him again someday!

I honestly had no intention of saying all that…it just started flowing, and I went with it.

And now for the list…

  • I only watch the news in the morning and right before dinner. The music comes on…I listen to classic rock, classic country, todays country, bluegrass, and sometime blues
  • Cleaning: I don’t go crazy, as no one was coming over before the epidemic so disinfecting the house hasn’t been that hard.
  • Reading: I am currently reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I hope to finish it soon. I’ve actually had a hard time “finding the time”, but that will soon change
  • Yardwork: getting the gardens ready for spring, downing trees, cutting it up and stacking
  • taking my meds: I take 2 zyrtecs a day – 1 in the morning, 1 at night (doctors orders), nasacort nasal spray twice a day, saline spray (as needed, home made), deep breathing exercises (this helps keep the lungs clear and strong/er; gargle with salt water as needed (helps to kill germs). I also eat 1 square of dark chocolate every day, below you will find the benefits of dark chocolate

  • spf benefits (my main reason – helps protect against sunburn)

  • needs to be 70 percent cacao or higher
  • no more than 1 ounce of dark chocolate a day – basically one kiss or one square, this is all you need to help with above benefits

    That is pretty intense. No sleep for months. Huh. I wonder what that’s like.
