A Walk In The Garden

It was a beautiful day today! In the low 70’s, which I will take. About an hour ago it clouded over, but that’s ok! We got plenty of fresh air and sunshine.

I also cut a hole in the wall! Yup! You read that right! I cut an access hole in the wall – which I will show you later, maybe tomorrow – so we can get to the bathtub/shower plumbing if need be. I finally talked to the plumber and he should be coming over to fix the leaky faucet, hopefully tomorrow. Of course, our governor in this great state of Maryland just issued a mandatory stay at home order, it goes into effect tonight (March 30th) at 8pm…so we shall see what happens. He should still be able to come over and work on the plumbing, as the leak has gotten pretty bad. As long as he doesn’t have a fever and isn’t showing any signs of being sick. Of course, it also depends on if and when he’s able to get the faucet to replace the old one.

The access hole is hidden in the linen closet.

Tomorrow is…

March 31
National Tater Day
National Prom Day
National Crayon Day
National Bunsen Burner Day
National Clams On The Half Shell Day
National Equal Pay Day

Some news from Maryland…

  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has granted D.C. a major disaster declaration in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Violation of the stay at home order is a misdemeanor and punishable by a $5,000 and 90 days in jail, Bowser’s (D.C, Mayer) office said.
  • Md. Gov. Larry Hogan: ‘We are no longer asking’
  • Among the essential activities listed in the order include traveling for work that has been deemed essential (which includes restaurant delivery and pickup) and traveling to care for a family member, friend or even pet at another household or location.
  • Also allowed is engaging in outdoor exercise activities, such as walking, hiking, running or biking. However, people exercising outdoors should maintain social distancing practices and, even outdoors, gatherings of 10 or more people are prohibited.
  • Failure to comply with the order is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail or a $5,000 fine or both, Hogan said.
  • a curfew is already in place, I do believe

  1. I hope you are surviving! I’m tired of working at home already, and it sounds like we just got started. So glad we can all get outside and walk!

    • I am, thank you! Some days are easier than others. I would like to take my son hiking sometime soon, but I’m afraid it may not be possible until this is over. (Is it essential?) At least I have 3 acres and a farm next door I could go explore.
      Take care…we’ll get through this!
