going through things and digging up memories…like I’ve said before, my dad kept just about everything. And I’ve go some more photos to share with you? Oh…when don’t I? LOL!
Hope you enjoy!
This is the play house turned shed… it will eventually get torn down and a better shed put up. But for now, it’s stable and not leaking. That’s all that really matters, right? The deck eventually needs to be replaced, maybe this summer. we shall see…
I’m putting the wheelbarrow in one of my gardens. The wheel has gone bad and it’s more cost effective to just buy a new wheelbarrow. One with two wheels, more sturdy. The storm windows and screens will more than likely go to the dump. They came from the old farmhouse (new addition) before it was torn down.
Who wants to guess how old the gas cans are? I’m not…they’re older than the hills!! I’m thinking about painting them and putting them somewhere for decoration. If we had a garage, I’d stick them there, but I don’t. So, they will go somewhere else. There’s a couple cans of white gas…I have an old Coleman grill that uses that type of gas. I got it for free at a community closet a couple of years ago. A community closet is kinda like a neighborhood swap type of thing… bring your old – or new – “junk”, stuff you don’t want anymore, and take something you want, like, could use. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of stuff this way – and brought stuff home.
An old spray can…
An old medicine bottle…
An old croquet trolley… we used to have the balls and mallets, but they’re long gone now. I’ve actually got some croquet balls hanging up in the elm tree.
An old Ash Flash flashlight… I have no idea what it’s worth, but it doesn’t really matter as I like it and am displaying it somewhere! I have an old army flashlight around here as well. Now, where is it…?
I teeny tiny wrench…my boyfriend’s putting it on his key chain! If he wasn’t, I would!
When was the last time you saw a Doritos can like this? It’s not that old…just looked for a stamp on it, Aug 03! So it’s not even 20 years old yet! But I think it looks neat, and putting it in with the other tins I have.
An old fashioned doorbell…did my parents have this up in the old farmhouse at one point? Who knows…
three sleds… one is a shooting star, one is an American Flyer, and the third on is just a regular – but old – sled. The old, regular sled I used as a kid when we would go sledding. I think the American Flyer was my grandmothers, as it has the initials MN carved in the bottom. But I couldn’t swear to it.
I had a lot of fun going through all this stuff today! It’s been a cold day, but that’s ok! At least today, I knew what everything was/is.
There will be more!
Tomorrow is…

I like the tiny tweeny wrench and old fashion doorbell. 😀 What a good find!
thank you!
I’m happy to finally be going through this stuff.
🙂
I love watching the tv series called ‘American pickers’ because the old things are so very interesting. Thank you for sharing your treasure. ❤️
We watch that show as well. 😳❤😊
There’s a time that I remember
When I did not know no pain
When I believed in forever
And everything would stay the same
Now my heart feel like December
When somebody say your name
‘Cause I can’t reach out to call you
But I know I will one day, yeah
