Keeping it simple, once again. This weather is really getting to me…not that it’s really a problem. Just makes it hard to move forward, into spring. My hummingbird feeders have yet to be hung, house plants have not been moved outside, or vegetable plants put in the ground. It’s 55 degrees outside, and , yes, we have the wood stove going. Still…

When will spring really truly arrive?!? I’m so ready to get to work outside – without having to wear a ton of clothes!

Really, truly…I’m doing ok! Just ready for winter to be over!

So, here’s some pics that were taken today…

and what is he guilty of? Stealing my lunch! Which I freely gave him bites of – a ham and cheese sandwich. I don’t know how, but he always hears me open the fridge and get everything out for the sandwich. Even if he’s downstairs, on the other side of the house sleeping. That’s a cat for you!

Happiness is being confidently weird

And there’s this robin building a nest… he – or she – has decided that using the frayed tarp is a good idea!

I’m sure the nest will be plenty warm enough. I’m also certain that they are not ingesting the plastic. I wouldn’t leave it out there if I thought anything would eat it, you can believe that!

I have no idea what made him decide on this, but hey! It works and I’m sure the babies will be happy and warm! If I can find the nest, I’ll be sure to get a photo of it. But the chances of that are slim, just so you know!
