my thoughts for today
Hopefully this won’t happen again for at least a year! I will explain in a minute… I had no choice, as I had no internet/wifi for the last 24 hours.
Instead of doing three separate posts to catch up, I figured I’d do one and be done! Especially since it’s already late in the day! Hope that’s ok with you… it’s gonna have to be! Because that’s the way it is!
So, without further ado…
The storm we got yesterday apparently did more damage than we had thought. Around 130pm we lost power. At first it just flickered, about three times, then went off and stayed off for an hour. When the power came back on, wifi didn’t. So I had to call that company – as well as the local power company – and let them know we were having problems.
And of course, it took until about 130 today to get it back!
During the storm yesterday, the wind knocked a bolt lose on an arm that holds everything in place on the telephone pole. And when it came lose, it knocked into the cable, which in turn, blew fuses all the way down the line. They just didn’t know all the fuses had been blown until they came out to check our problem. If that makes sense.
yesterday’s cell phone pictures…
yesterday’s storm…
it could’ve been a lot worse…
tomorrow should be back to normal…
There was more traffic yesterday than I thought there would’ve been…should’ve been. At least in my humble opinion. We went for a little road trip yesterday. This was before the power went out and we had no wifi.
I do have to tell you, since I didn’t have any internet for the last 24 hours, I got a lot more photos worked on than I normally would have. I also got my winter decorations down and replaced with a spring theme. All of my “Christmas” decorations have been down, but I leave the winter stuff up until spring.
Tomorrow is…
May 2
National Life Insurance Day
National Start Seeing Monarchs Day
National Scrapbook Day
National Homebrew Day
National Bombshells’ Day
Kentucky Derby Day
Join Hands Day
(but don’t forget to social distance!)
May 2, 1194 – King Richard 1 of England gives Portsmouth its first Royal Charter…this date was on a Thursday and happened 825 years, 11 months and 30 days
Hope you have a great day, night or evening
where ever you may be!
Thanks for stopping by!!
I’ll do all my links and other “normal” stuff tomorrow.
Take care
Stay safe
Much love
