It’s cold out, and gonna be cold tonight. Another freeze warning! Gonna have to cover the plants agian tonight, so I was going to show you some pics of them covered up.
But first my, cat…
He’s got the best bed in the house!
It’s cold out! 47 degrees Fahrenheit ( 8.33 Celsius) at the moment. I know I shouldn’t complain, it’s snowing in Upstate New York, or it was. On the news they were talking about the polar vortex. They said the last time it got this cold in Maryland was in 1966.
So anyway, here’s some photos of my plants, covered to protect from the cold.
In the photo above is a spider plant.
All two different kinds of plants (above): Snake plant and another plant I’m not sure what it is.
And as you can see, anything works. In the photo above (spider plant) and below (strawberries), I used tarps to cover. Everything else is on its own. Luckily, I haven’t transplanted my tomatoes or zucchini squash yet.
Uh, yeah…I do believe we have a bear roaming around! The wind has been whipping for the last couple of hours and knocked down two of my bird feeders. I went out to gather them up and couldn’t find one! The wind wouldn’t have blown it that far, it’s too heavy. When I was walking back to the house, I noticed this pile of…. yeah. My boyfriend said right then and there that is what he thought it was.
I looked it up, that’s what it looks like to me!
So, I think the bear took my bird feeder! Maybe we’ll find it somewhere, maybe not!
I’ve seen bear here before, so I’m not too surprised, really. My boyfriend swears he saw a bear a few weeks ago, and a couple years ago I swear I saw a bear running through the backyard – at night, but it wasn’t no dog! I can tell you that, for sure!
