my thoughts for today

We’ve got a hurricane/tropical depression coming through the area right now. Actually, it hasn’t even reached us yet. It looks like it’s still in the Carolina’s at the moment. It’s raining right now, with the worst of it hitting us tomorrow.

It’s really not unusual to have hurricanes or tropical depressions come through here. We’re far enough inland that it has a minor effect on us. Knocking on wood, we haven’t had any major damage from any of these storms. A few years ago, a tent was destroyed that I had set up in the back yard. Most damage comes from straight winds, ice storms, or snow.

It has been such a strange year, hardly anything would surprise me.

riots – on the verge of anarchy
did I miss anything?
And it’s only August

But that is for another post.

Hopefully
soon
things will start
to make sense
once again

But I have a feeling things will probably get worse before they get better…I’m talking generally, here in the U.S. But I’m not ready to delve further into that quite yet. I will say this though, the election coming up will determine if the United States remains free or falls. Very depressing thought, but I believe this is real.
