no proper time of day

September 1, 2020

my thoughts for today

It’s been raining here for the past, well since Saturday night, and I’ve been having trouble really finding inspiration. It’s also been cold….68 (F) degrees (20C) here at the moment. Turn on some lights, turn up the music, and all is good…right? Most of the time that works, but right now, I just want to cry. No particular reason, I’m okay…just how it is sometimes!

I’m thankful that I really have nothing to worry about, or at least nothing that big…there’s a roof over my head, food on the table or in the fridge, and the bills are paid. We have enough wood for the wood stove to get us started, but not enough to get us through the winter. But that will change.

“The sun shone,
having no alternative,
on the nothing new.”
~ Samuel Beckett

I don’t know what it is about that quote, but it jumped out at me. And when something pulls at you, you need to go with it…right?

Working on my photos also helps. But sometimes, not so much! I can work on my photos all day long, but when it comes time to post, I have nothing. Yesterdays “be still and know” post I deleted three times before posting what I did. I’ve linked it below…

I need some sun!! And the pool! The water’s really cold right now, as there has been no sun to warm it up. We will be closing up in a couple of weeks. That can be a little depressing for me, but nothing to worry about!

“I may look like an angel
but never forget
that even a coin has two sides.”

I try not to let “stuff” get to me, but sometimes I can’t help it.

“You don’t have to be strong all the time.
And breaking down at midnight isn’t a crime.”
~ Vaishali Singh

So, maybe just for this week – or maybe a little longer, I’ll do what I need and just let things flow.

No agenda
No timeline
No excuses
No explaining
Just let things flow

be still and know

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!

you don’t have to be perfect
having a bad day is ok
small steps are also progress
asking for help is strength
people love and appreciate you

take care
stay safe
much love

It looks like it may have stopped raining for the moment, so I’m going to grab my camera and see what happens 🙂
