In ten short days, I have reached 1,607 followers. That’s up from 1,574 (+33) when I originally posted this! Amazing!! So…again, thank you! It boggles my mind!! Some things/thoughts have changed, but mostly I’ve added a shop to my site, where you can download a photo. I think I’ve worked out all the kinks… it’s inevitable that there will be a few when first starting.

The pool is cleaned out and closed for the winter…
Still need to drain the hot water tank, I will probably do this this weekend… be sure to look for that post (I will be taking pics)
As of right now I’ve got downloads available, which you can see a sampling of below.
I was hoping to provide different sizes, and I tried…boy did I try…but it looks like, right now, I can only offer you one size, small. When I upload a photo to my shop, it automatically resizes it to a small size. Which is fine.

I won’t be doing this too often, but since this is all new…I’m having fun with it! Maybe once a week…I really don’t know. As of right now, the only payment option I have is paypal…oh, and before I forget, you can also support me by making a donation… the widget is in the right sidebar and had been updated from before. I’ve taken ads out…hopefully you don’t see any.

TAKE TIME TO RECONNECT

my thoughts for today

Not sure if you noticed, but on my site I have a new widget…Holly’s Images. These images will – eventually – be available for downloads and possibly even prints, through my site. Meaning, you don’t or won’t have to click out. This will be another option, so to speak. I pretty much just wanted to see what it looks like, for now.

But before I can do anything, I need to upgrade my site. Right now, I’m in the premium plan which doesn’t allow me to sell and has a very small photo/media library. I’d like to do more, without worrying how much space I have. I can collect payments, but not sell anything with the plan I’m in. It’s not that much more to take the next step, but I just need to make sure that it’s something I should do, if I can afford it…and, it looks like I’ll only be able to sell in the United States. But, taking the next step should pay for itself, I hope. But I’m not here to talk about money…

If I move up two steps, I’ll be able to sell all over the world. I think what I’m going to do is step up in baby steps. I’m sure it will be worth it to take this next step. I just wish that my selling capabilities weren’t limited to US only. Is paypal the same way? Just a thought that crossed my mind…

I’ll be starting with downloads…small, medium and large, with prices set accordingly. One thing I did notice with the next “plan” is that I’ll have much more storage space. Eventually, I think I will make prints available…postcards, greeting cards, or just regular 8×10 prints (or smaller). But that is going to have to wait, the printing anyway. Making downloads available is easy…the printing part, not so much. At least that’s my thought…

I’ve never printed a bad photo
nor would I sell one that isn’t good
so that’s not an issue

I’m not going to get into where you all come from, that would take me forever! But I know Holly’s World has been seen all over the world. Which was my intended goal…I couldn’t just limit myself to the US, or just English speaking countries or places.

To keep you from seeing what I am up to!

hmm…what else is there to share? Things are pretty quiet here at the moment…I need to do a final cleaning of my pool and close it down, so if anyone wants to come over and help…just kidding! I also need to drain the hot water tank. This is to get rid of the sludge in the bottom, and helps to keep the tank running efficiently, longer. It’s not going to be loo long before I need to replace it, it’s getting to be about that time. But for now, draining it will do.

That’s about all I can think of at the moment. Besides, I think I’ve rambled on enough…
