my thoughts for today

Sorry I’m so late posting today… I had the chance to get out of the house/off the property for a couple of hours, so I took it. Looks like I’ll pretty much be stuck at home – again – for the most part – for the foreseeable future. Still so happy that I have some property I can roam around on!
Our state has been put back in lock down due to covid. They’re saying that “you” have to wear a mask outside the home, basically in public spaces – whether inside or out. Also limiting how many people can visit for Thanksgiving. Of coarse, all dining needs to be outdoors, unless you have a tent or a “pod” to dine in. Then you can eat in that. There’s so many restrictions…I find it crazy! But that’s just me.
I’m sure I’ll be sharing about it sometime soon. My son and I had really just gotten so we were comfortable going out again, even if it was just hiking and maybe a quick stop somewhere.
Oh well, it is what it is…

So, we went to Lowe’s to get some lumber for the new shelves, and when we got home, we got busy building it.

Obviously, it’s not finished in the photo above. It was pretty much the only chance I got to take a photo. After my dad passed away, I had the dishwasher taken out. We didn’t use it, plus it was a fire hazard. I think it was a drying element that could get hot and catch fire. We kept it on wash only. So anyway, out it went. We did the shelves in such a way, that if need be, they can be taken out and a new dishwasher put in. Storage space/shelves are needed more than a dishwasher.

The little gap in the back has been closed off, so nothing falls behind the lazy susan. To the right, in the photo is the lazy susan, to the left is the sink. I’ll be staining it this week.
