  1. That one by Voltaire… let’s see. For me, it’s everyone. Does this imply Democracy is corrupt?
But I guess there’s a thin line between criticism and abuse.
    ugh I don’t know.

    • I left it as a quote without adding an opinion on purpose. I may use it in a post in the future…who knows.
For me, it applies to what is going on in the U.S. right now, but it could apply to personal situations as well. When you criticize someone – anyone – and they react a certain way, you know you’ve hit a nerve… “Don’t you dare criticize me! …”
      – Walls don’t work, except to protect us. Then they work.
      – Guns (police, military) are bad, except to protect us. Then they work.
      – I can burn, loot, destroy but as soon as you do it, it’s bad and you must be destroyed.
      – I can call names and demean you up one side and down the other, but how dare you do the same to me.
(When I say you, I don’t mean you personally, but generally)
I could go on and on, but I think you get my point. As for criticism and abuse? Well, that could be addressed in a post. I guess. What’s the difference between criticism and abuse? Criticism is when someone is judged for their actions, work, etc. Abuse is when someone gets aggressive in their behavior, usually trying to show dominance over someone or something. Criticism can be abusive…but at this point, I will digress.
