So, today is my mom’s birthday…she would be 77 years old today. Taking today to remember, reflect and just take it easy…no stress, worries, no hurries. Well, it’s also cold outside – only 35 degress (1.6C) at the moment. So a lazy day inside for the most part.
Yesterday was a hard day, I only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before and we took a little road trip to visit with one of my boyfriends friends. The time change just made everything that much harder.

Beware the Ides of March

• Julius Caesar was indeed assassinated on the ides of March – March 15 – in the year 44 B.C.
• The Ides of March is the 74th day in the Roman calendar
• was marked by several religious observances and was notable for the Romans as a deadline for settling debts
• Ides simply referred to the first full moon of a given month, which usually fell between the 13th and 15th
• once signified the new year, which meant celebrations and rejoicing
• The word Ides derives from a Latin word, meaning to divide
• honor Julius Caesar by drinking a glass of wine: ancient Romans loved wine and would drink it with most of their meals throughout the day
