Picture of the Day

Flowers for Mother’s Day

My son and I went shopping for Mother’s Day yesterday, these are the flowers he got me. I know it’s a little early, but yesterday is the day we had to go shopping.

The flowers are, from top to bottom, starsister red and white dahlia, Yellowstone forever petunia, and tiny parrot asiatic Lily. The first two are considered annual flowers, but may come back through the seeds they produce. We will see…the lily is a perennial. I love lilies!

All three require full sun…I know where I’m putting the lily, gotta figure out where to put the other two. If they don’t come back next year, well, I gotta think about that.

I used to have a different variety of dahlia, my son got me for Mother’s Day when he was in kindergarten. I had a pretty decent patch, until my boyfriend mowed them down.

When I plant them, sometime this week hopefully, I’ll be sure to show you pictures.

When we were checking out at Lowe’s, someone before us had bought a rose bush, this rose fell off…I stuck it in my hair.

Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!!
