“Life in the jungle is a constant struggle for the survival of the fittest.”
Since this photo was taken, I have been able to spread my plants throughout the house more than I used to. With the wood stove in the room where all these plants were hanging out, I don’t keep any plants in there anymore. Not during the winter season. It gets way too hot in there for them to survive.
This is what the room looks like now, and a teeny tiny bit of the transformation process. After my dad passed away, I decided to rip the carpet out and replace with either hardwood or carpet, depending on the room. Most of the carpet was original with the house, built in 1986. When I do laundry, this is also where I hang clothes to dry. I don’t have an electric dryer so everything gets hung on drying racks or on hangers in the window. I got rid of the dryer around the year 2012 and with the stink bug infestation, I stopped hanging clothes outside. Most times, when I fold clothes to put away – during the winter months, when the wood stove’s going full blast – the clothes feel like they’ve just come out of the dryer.
She’s crazy. And just when you think you’ve reached the bottom of her craziness, there’s a crazy underground garage.
Hope you have a great day!
