One man’s trash…

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure

This funnel came from my boyfriend’s house…not sure what exactly it was used for, and broke off of something. I knew I could use it for something, so on the shelf it sat, unused, for a couple of years. That is, until about a month ago, some baby spider plants came off the main plant and I was looking for something to put them in. I picked up this broken funnel and a lightbulb went off in my head.

It is heavy, so when I bring it in I have to make sure the hook is secured in a rafter or a board. I’ll also have to find something to put under it to catch any eater that might drip through.

Eventually I’ll also have to find a piece of plastic or something to put between the chain and glass, to prevent any chipping.

hope you have a great day!

    • I like the civilized quote/words…Haven’t tried etsy yet. I plan on doing a post on “going natural” or something like that, and will be about going against the norm. We’ll see what happens…

      • It’s something that came to mind while reading your post. Just trying to be philosophical and poetic 😂

That sounds awesome! I seriously think every American should be natural and have a basic level of survival skills. Kind of the opposite of the dumb dependent America we have now.

      • I agree, and looking at today’s society…well, I’d say we’re in a world of trouble. But I think there’s more people like us than we think. I’m friends with a lot of homesteaders, survivalists, and farmers on Facebook… It’s scary that it seems like we’re in the minority, but we’re not, everyone else is just crying louder…if that makes sense. And there’s so many distractions at the moment.

  1. That is a really nifty idea to use the funnel as a planter. It’s always good to re-purpose things like that. 🙂

    • Thanks! I try not going overboard on saving things. I just knew I could find another use for it…like so many other things!
