“She has a quiet confidence that screams loud. She is humble, but strong. She is stable, but rebellious. She is giving, but not naive. She chooses her battles wisely. She’ll stay silent until it’s time to fight, and when that time comes; FIGHT, she does.” – Jordan Sarah Weatherhead

When you walk in nature barefooted, you are exposed to the divine electromagnetic healing forces of the earth. This is called ‘grounding’ and can reduce free radicals, stress, and tension in the body.

Take care

Stay safe

Much love

Tried this. Stepped on a rock. Guess the earth doesn’t think I’m not ready to be stress and tension free.

    • Yeah…I just got pinched by some kind of bug. Maybe we just need to pay attention to where we’re stepping?

On the “grounding” side, I do know I feel better when I walk barefoot, I “feel” what’s under my feet more so than with shoes on. One summer, I was walking barefoot down to the pool. The front part of my foot landed on a toad. I heard it squeak and felt it before I squished it. If I had had shoes on, I probably would have killed it.

      • I have found, that for me, grounding is less dangerous if I find a good spot where the breeze is coming in, the sun isn’t too strong, and I can just be. Then I take my shoes off and stand in that spot until calmness is found. But I always make sure I have to walk to the spot to be in nature longer (with shoes)

    • For some reason the song by Rodney Adkins “If you’re going through hell” popped into my head when I was preparing this post, so I went with it.

      • I was talking about the barefoot thing. Cody is notorious for venturing through crazy places barefoot.

        And… I’m king of unrelated comments….

      • LOL…during the summer I rarely wear shoes at home. Unless I’m mowing or digging or something.
