While I was doing a little work in the gardens directly in front of the house, this song by Aerosmith popped into my head – so I thought I’d share it with you today… It was too hot to do too much work at the time I was working, but something is better than nothing. Right?

I’ve thought about this a lot. We keep on hearing what a great future we’re going to have. If we could just get over the past and forget history and all our differences we could have such a New World.
But yet, we fantasize and reminisce about the past…..
The past is part of what makes us who we are…we shouldn’t dwell on it but we can’t forget it either.
It might be important to know “who” wants us to forget the past?
I feel very strongly rooted to my past. It grounds me in the present and helps me as I move forward. “They” want me to be ashamed of my past and discard it. “They” also have been libeling my past for decades.
“They” want me to be ashamed for being white, “they” want me to be ashamed for loving my country – the good and the bad, “they” want me to be ashamed for not taking the jab or wearing a mask…it goes on and on…
I’m not ashamed of who I am, where I come from, nor for doing what I do/don’t do.
It’s all part of the game/plan…most of us, I think, aren’t falling for it. I hope!
