First, my boyfriend finally went back to work this morning!! Thank God! Not only was he wearing me out, but I was finding it difficult to keep on a schedule or routine! In the last week, we’ve been fishing twice (once in the am, once in the pm), and on Saturday we had a gathering for one of his step-sisters who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. My boyfriend’s mother came up from St. Leonard and spent the night Saturday night. His step-sister was operated on today! I believe we have caught a total of 21 catfish so far…I think! 3, 10, 1, 3, 2, 2…I believe that’s how it goes, from the most recent to the first. He’s been fishing twice without me…I have no complaints whatsoever!
I’ve gotten so used to being home 98% of the time, which is no big deal. There’s so much to do around here…but when he keeps me busy like that, it takes me time to recoup. We went fishing August 2nd, Aug 4th, and then the gathering on the 7th. There were a lot of people there, most of which I had never met before. Meeting new people like that is draining, for me anyway. At least everyone was cool and down to earth! Again, no complaints…just drained! Which is why I took yesterday and did a bunch of nothing. Although I did clean the pool, which it needed badly!
The summer heat is back too! It’s supposed to be in the nineties all week, with little chance of rain. Of course, the hotter it gets, the more chance of thunderstorms…but for the most part no rain. Right now it is 96 degrees outside, 84 inside. The pool is clean! and feels really good right now. For a week or so (more than that really), I kinda let the pool go – what with the up and down temps, it was hard to get motivated. The temps would get into the 90’s for a few days, then drop into the low 80’s for a high for a few days. The pool water takes a few days to get warm enough to enjoy, then the air temps drop – so does the pool water. It’s hard to get in and do anything with it when the water temperature’s only 72 degrees. It won’t be too long before I’m closing it up…
my boyfriend says with the way things are going it might be the end of September before we close it up! Who knows…this year has been a really weird year! I know I’m not the only one thinking this…
today my forecast is dark.
the trees are sad
and all the butterflies have broken wings.
not really, but I found it kinda funny! sad funny… Oh, I found a dead, bloated toad in the birdbath just a little bit ago…I was ready to cry…poor thing…
hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!
