Respect, love, healing peace

Picture of the Day

April 2017; I always get more paint on me than on the walls…

“Some days I am a goddess. Some days I am a wild child. And some days I am a fragile mess. Most days I am a bit of all three. But every day, I am here, trying.” – S.C.Lourie

I had my son snap this picture, while I was in the process of painting my parents bedroom…after my dad passed away. At first, it was a library…I couldn’t make it my bedroom, not at the time. Both of my parents passed away, in that room, and I couldn’t bring myself to move in.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years, it’s now my bedroom/library…sanctuary. Besides the pool, it’s the one place in the house where I can get total peace and quiet, if I need it. Besides the fact that both of my parents took their last breath in that room, I feel extremely close to them there. Sounds a bit morbid, I know…but most days it’s a comfort for me. Especially now that time has passed.

Here’s a few photos of the transformation…

Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!!
