my thoughts for today
Yesterday was a rough day…where I live was under a code orange air quality alert, which meant pool time and just resting. For the most part anyway. I didn’t reallydo much, until my boyfriend got home. We were headed to the store to do some grocery shopping when he realized he didn’t have his wallet. It was a big hassle…we searched the truck, drove back out to the vegetable stand – twice! After acknowledging that his wallet was gone, more than likely stolen, he called the bank to cancel his debit card and was in the process of printing out a temporary license when he got a call from the people at the vegetable stand saying they had his wallet. A lady, who stopped by the stand after my boyfriend took the wallet, and for some reason decided to bring it back. All the money and everything was still in his wallet! He was extremely lucky! What a relief it was, but what a hassle we went through in the meantime. His computer, for some reason wouldn’t print the license. So he had to email it to me so I could print it, but my new laptop only printed it small. So I had to get on my old laptop, change it to jpeg in photoshop and print it that way. By the time all was said and done it was seven, and we hadn’t eaten dinner yet! After dinner, we were relaxing, watching Appaloosa – a 2008 western with Ed Harris – when we noticed Pepe Le Pew had announced his presence! Something got skunked! And the smell lingered for hours! After some time, it wasn’t so bad – but still noticeable. After all that, I’m just glad I had been working on the post about Yuri Bezmonov, and all I really had to do was fine tune it. I still didn’t get to bed until after 1am. I think I just enjoy the couple of hours of quiet, cool time after the sun’s set.
So…on to today…
Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you’re chewing on life’s gristle, don’t grumble give a whistle
This will help things turn out for the best
Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life
Always Look On The Bright Side of Like

It’s still hot, and I’m sitting here sweating, but here I am! I should’ve closed up the windows like I usually do, but I didn’t so I/we have to deal with it. It’s 95 outside, 88 inside…so it’s not really all that bad.
I did go out and work on the new berm a little this morning…
…just waiting for it to rain, so I can make sure it’s in the right place. Not just any rain, but a really good downpour. Anyway, I moved the tire…my boyfriend said something about needing the tire back. I thought he was junking it, as he had placed along side the junkpile. Now, it’s propped against a tree. In its place, I positioned cinderblock and dirt. It ends at a hole I had dug for a compost pile. I’ll probably have to put some dirt at the end of the cinderblock line…once I know I don’t need to adjust anything. I also dug the hole a little deeper and wider.
When I went to get in the pool to rinse and cool off, I saved this little guy from drowning. Which meant I didn’t stay in the pool like I wanted to. I tried to put him on a rock, but he didn’t want to leave my finger! So, I grabbed my cell phone, took some pictures and let him hang out on my finger for a few minutes. But after a while I had to get in the pool, so I could get back and do what I need to do. I stuck him on one of my Spider Plants…
So…onto the title of this post…
…after this, I get a little political, so if you want to skip, I won’t mind…
At this point, I’m trying to do what I need to do, when I need to do it. Trying to keep on schedule, like I posted not too long ago, is very trying right now. Eventually, I should be able to get back to what I have been doing. I have a ton of photos I need to work on and upload, but for now it has to wait. I also need to do what I need to do to take take of myself and my son.
~ As you know, I am not taking this shot for covid. I refuse to call it, at this point, a vaccine….because I don’t think it is. It’s a tool to try and control people, to divide. I have a video from Australia that I want to share, but it’s on my cell phone, so later I will. It’s very disturbing…and the media isn’t talking about it. Not really.
~ Kabul attacks…at this time, 12 US military soldiers are confirmed dead, after two terrorist attacks. People are asking, almost demanding that Biden step down, be impeached, or invoke the 25th Amendment. I know that means Kamala will become president, but we just can’t let Biden keep pretending to be president. Dan Bongino recently started calling Biden “PINO” – President In Name Only. Sounds appropriate to me, we all know he’s not the one calling the shots! If you don’t know…well, I don’t know what to say.
– The Supreme Court has ordered the Biden administration to keep Trump’s ‘Stay in Mexico’ order in place. We’ll see if it happens, but with who knows who crossing our southern border illegally, especially since the Afghanistan travesty, we can’t just let the border stay open. The question is, is it too late? Of all the people they have flown out of Afghanistan, we still have Americans stranded there. It is not right, nor is it acceptable. How long will it be until there is an attack on American soil?
~ I’m hearing of two protests/strikes getting ready to happen here in the U.S. One is a shopping strike – where people are going to stay home or go one vacation, so to say, from Sept 12-18. No shopping, no buying gas, no spending money. Whether or not it happens or is true I don’t know… The other one is a trucker’s strike – where tractor trailers are going to block interstates. Don’t know the details, but it’s coinciding with the “Truckie” strike happening in Australia…blocking interstate travel, starting August 31. From what I’m hearing, not a complete block – if you need to cross state lines for an emergency, you will be allowed to cross. Both protests are intended to draw attention to the mandates, the media and government misinformation. We’ll see what happens…
So, as much as I’m trying to stay away from the news and do what I need to do – I still keep an ear out.
‘Cause I ain’t askin’ nobody for nothin’
If I can’t get it on my own
If you don’t like the way I’m livin’
You just leave this long haired country boy alone
