“The news has everyone in a frenzy stating that we need to purchase Christmas gifts now because there won’t be anything left come mid-November. Here’s a novel idea. Maybe we shouldn’t worry about the material things. Maybe we should just be grateful for the gift of family, friends, our health, a warm home, food on the table, memories, etc. The list goes on & on of what we have to be grateful for that doesn’t come with a price tag. Maybe this is God’s way of telling us it’s time for a good old-fashioned Christmas.” ~ Author unknown
I personally haven’t seen a whole lot of empty shelves, not nearly as bad as last year anyway.
I got nothing for $2…anyway, the photos were taken at one of our local Dollar Generals a little over a month ago. For the most part the shelves were pretty well stocked. My son made the comment that they were trying to sell “nothing” for two dollars, so of course, I had to take a photo! The last time I was in the dollar store there was hardly any toothpaste or toothbrushes, but everything else was pretty well stocked. I think we’re pretty well stocked here, and keep a good rotation going. I am learning to use herbal medicines, which I really should’ve started earlier this year. I have some, but not much. Gotta start slow anyway, and build on it.
