I woke up this morning with a sinus headache, feeling a little nauseous. What finally helped was taking a hot shower, and getting the wood stove going again. It’s not cold here…but I just needed the heat. It was 72 in the house when I woke up this morning, which is rather comfortable, but it wasn’t warm enough for me. When the weather drastically changes, I get headaches, and they don’t go away until the barometric pressure stabilizes. The headache just lingers, nothing helps.
Anyway, not much happened over the weekend. I did get a new wheelbarrow…which I have needed for well over two years. The wheel on the old one went bad, before covid hit, and at that point we figured – after checking prices on a new wheel – it would just be better/cheaper to get a new wheel barrow. Then covid hit and everything went south. I made do with hooking the trailer to the back of the mower. Thinking about it, I might still use the trailer, depending on where I’m working. Anyway, the wheel barrow has two wheels and came from Lowe’s. The old one was…old! I think my grandfather gave it to my dad when my parents moved into the house I grew up in. That would make it around 50 years old. There really was/is nothing wrong with it, the wheel just went bad…and it was a single wheel as opposed to double wheel. Now, it’s used for decoration.
Photos are in reverse chronological order…
Jack Frost paid a visit…
Did some decorating…
Fall colors…
oh the ladybugs…
there must be a hundred or more in the house!
I might be exaggerating a little, but maybe not!! I walked into the kitchen this afternoon to get a drink…they were everywhere! And did you know the buggers can bite!?!? I was cutting some bird seed plants to harvest and felt something biting me!! It hurt, almost felt like a bee sting! Looked down, I swear to you…it was a ladybug!! I’d never been bit by one before…must’ve been something on my leg it liked. I had one gnawing on dead skin or something under my fingernail. It didn’t hurt, honestly felt almost like rubbing your fingernail against your skin.
hope you have a great day!

Welcome my friend
Lovely post
Thank you!
I can understand the need for heat, even when it isn’t cold.I also suffer from headaches, migraines and the like. Not fun at all, especially if you are sensitive to the bright light!
Thank you!
I forgot to ask, who made that marvellous colourful blanket draped over the back of the chair? ( I’m a knitter….can’t NOT see these things) lol
My paternal grandmother made the blanket, I believe.
Lovely:)
