all things most change to something new, to something strange ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

my thoughts for today

~ first time using my new wheel barrow ~

Nothing to worry about…any changes, most changes, will be behind the scenes. This is a personal choice for me, but you won’t really be notice anything – maybe more of a presence, if anything. I’m not going anywhere…just making some changes, that’s all.

Covid has really just made me focus my time differently.

One change is, for the time being I won’t be uploading anymore images to any of my shops. At least for the time being. I just don’t have the time or the energy to work on the photos. At least right now. There is so much going on…I’m not deleting the shops, just not uploading. I do have some recent uploads, so maybe they won’t totally disappear – yet!

What’s going on? Just life, and covid. Things are weird…I know this, you know this! Even though I rarely ever leave the property – Holly’s World – I do know the world has turned upside down. It’s even gotten so, around here, the tv is off most of the time. When it’s on, we listen to music [Pandora] or old tv shows. Right now, Law and Order SVU is playing in the background. Unless my son is watching YouTube or Boomerang, the tv is otherwise off. It drives my boyfriend crazy…that I can sit here in absolute silence. For hours! More and more, there are times when the tv isn’t turned on until dinner time.

Actually, having the tv off for the majority of
the time isn’t really all that new for me. Where before,
it may have been for, say, 4 hours a day, now it’s 8+.
My boyfriend thinks this is really, really strange! But
if it weren’t for my son and boyfriend, there
probably wouldn’t be any tv.

So, that’s the main change…it will only, maybe, affect the “Picture of the week” post in the future and my uploads to twitter. But, that doesn’t mean you won’t see me as much…I’m making changes to accommodate for this. It might take me some time to get into a routine, but I’m not going anywhere.

And, while I’m at it, I might as well put my schedule up. It may change, but for now this is how it goes:

Every day: picture of the day – a photo with inspirational quote
Monday: keeping it simple – a more artistic photo – abstracted more than likely, with some kind of quote
weekend thoughts – photos and thoughts from the weekend
Wednesday: better than yesterday/a hump day photo
better than yesterday: a photo with a quote or phrase about yesterday
a hump day photo: a photo taken or made on a Wednesday, with Wednesday quotes and/or phrases
Thursday: throwback Thursday – a memory
Friday: cell phone photo of the week – a cell phone photo taken/made some time in the last week
photo of the week – an image uploaded to one of my shops [while it lasts]
Saturday: here’s looking at you – a photo with “something” looking towards the camera
Sporadic: my thoughts for today, legends, anything I find interesting

Right now, I have a couple of weeks’ worth of posts ready to go. I normally don’t do this, but for now it works, as long as I can remember to set the post to post immediately, instead of when I worked on it. I’ve only forgotten once or twice so far, and it was an easy fix. I can post todays post from my cell phone, then in the evening get on my laptop and do what I need to do.

We live in strange times
but this is our time.

If, for any reason, I need to take a day off to recharge, it will be Sunday. Unless something unforeseeable happens – at that point there’s nothing I can do. But if anything weird does happen, I will let you know – somehow, someway. Fishing days are pretty much over for me until spring. I’m not going to be doing any kind of traveling – I am not “vaccinated”, and do not plan on getting the so-called “vaccine”. None of us, in this household, has been vaccinated. Oh, my boyfriend is very much aware that I have no plans on traveling anywhere, nor do I plan on participating in any get together’s with large groups of people. If he wants to – and he has – he is free to travel and go to whatever kind of gathering he wants. I’m just not up to it, not at this time!

“Strange times are these in which we live
when old and young are taught falsehoods in school
And the person that dares to tell the truth
is called at once a lunatic and fool.”

~ Plato
(c. 427 – 347 B.C.)

That’s about all I have at this time, I just wanted to let you know about the changes I have been working on. Some, you’ve already seen. I haven’t been on Facebook all day today…it’s actually been kind of nice! I logged off at midnight last night, and won’t be getting back on until tomorrow morning. I guess that’s another change I’m making…less of a presence on Facebook. When I’m busy or sleeping I plan on logging out. We’ll see how it goes…

Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!!
