On the 12th Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

As I stated earlier, in many of the searches I made for The 12 Days of Christmas, they stated that Catholics were forbidden to worship during the 12th Century (1100-1199). My schooling and learning didn’t agree with what they were saying. It was my understanding that Catholics ruled, so much that they even controlled the kings, queens, etc. Watching movies, tv shows…it didn’t add up. If the Catholics weren’t allowed to worship, why are there so many Cathedrals in Europe? Why did they forbid translating the Bible into a native tongue? Or, for that matter, to be read? So I looked it up. I was right. It was the Catholics that controlled just about everything! Church History by Century 11th Century
12 Days of Christmas facts: I’ve never seen any of my posts come up when searching for info!!!! It’s 5th on the list!!!! Wow! It’s the last post I wrote, about the 10th and 11th days of Christmas. Again, WOW! I knew my site has been getting a lot of lately, but I didn’t think it was getting that many! So, thank you for putting me on the map!
