Photo and meme dump

December 31, 2021

my thoughts

Since it’s the end of the year, I thought I’d do a dump…some of the photos or memes you may have seen throughout the year, or not. This should really be “cell phone photo of the week”, but I haven’t gone out to take any new photos this week. Maybe tomorrow…

When thinking about life, remember this…

No amount of guilt can change the past.
No amount of anxiety can change the future.

A couple of months ago, my cell phone started acting up on me and I realized that I needed to start getting my photos off my phone, so I don’t loose them. Primarily, the photos that are in Google Photos. I may or may not loose them when I switch over to the new phone, but I don’t want to take any chances. If I remember correctly, at the time I had around 456 recent photos on my phone, and photos dating back to 2014 in Google photos. As of today, I have all of 2014 thru 2016 and 2018 transferred, some of 2017 and 2021…and 351 recent photos. My main focus at this point is getting Google photos emptied.

Making an informed decision on our health should never feel like this…

So, I’ve still got some work to do…but knowing how I am when it comes to replacing things – I will keep using the phone until I can’t anymore. I’m really not having any issues with my phone, unless I allow too many photos to build up. Then my camera won’t focus. Every few days I plug my phone in to my computer and transfer photos, and every chance I get I email Google photos to myself, putting those on my computer that way.

I’m a photographer, what can I say?!?

That feeling when you’re not necessarily sad, just feeling empty inside.

Yep, that’s a praying mantis shell I just happened to come across while on a walk one day. My guess is, the female had her way with him and this was all that was left when I walked by. I’d never seen this before…The innards are gone, either rotted away or a spider or something came along and ate it. Gross? Maybe, but that’s the way things go in nature!

So, what happened in 2021? We did a lot of fishing, catching at least 2 dozen fish. I didn’t keep tabs, but I know we came home at least twice with ten fish, which makes ten. Plus a few times with five or less. It’s probably closer to 3 dozen, thinking about it. We bought a splitter and a new chest freezer and I believe we had to replace the electric stove this year. I think that was this year…anyway, all of our appliances have been replaced since 2020 – the fridge, washing machine and stove. The stove was the last one. The fridge went first, then the washing machine then the stove. Besides all that, it was pretty uneventful. There were a few times we thought we would float away, with all the rain and flooding that was going on – but it wasn’t NEARLY as bad as 2020.

Hello bro, you good at math, right?

Hi, Yes I am!

good, if I cut cake into 3 pieces, each piece will be 0.333 of the main piece, right?

correct

ok, if we multiply 3 by 0.333 we get 0.999
so what happened to 0.001?

you will find it on the knife

ohhh…thanks

I really don’t have any plans for 2022…I would like to get a “real” woodshed built and possibly add some chickens to the property. But the main thing we’re doing is starting a vegetable garden. A decent sized one with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, squash to start. We can always add to it as we can. We will have to fence the garden, what with all the critters we have running around – deer, groundhog, rabbits, fox, raccoons…it will be an expense, but once it’s done we won’t really have to worry about it. For the most part anyway. My boyfriend says he will shoot the groundhogs if need be. We might even have to put some angled fencing at the top to keep the deer from jumping over. We will deal with that when the time comes.

2020 (masks)
2021 (needles)
2022 (zombies)

As for my blog, I don’t really see any changes. Not in the immediate future anyway! I’ve stated this before, and I’ll say it again…there may come a time when I can no longer be here. I am unvaccinated and don’t plan on being vaccinated. There just may come a time when I need to focus more on “life”…not that I will completely disappear, but who knows what will happen. It all depends on how hard they make life for us. I am planning for things to get bad, hoping and praying they don’t. I really don’t think as many people have been vaccinated as they’re trying to let on – not in the United States anyway. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be pushing the narrative so hard, or moving the goal posts.

I got a notice on Facebook today from the Frederick County Health Department that they are going to start requiring face masks in all public places if you can’t maintain 6 foot distancing. Apparently, this will be until the numbers come down to less than 20 per 100,000. Why that number? I have no idea…seems pretty low to me. I had to read that number a couple times…20 people infected isn’t that many, if you ask me. Not 100, or 75, but 20. If the mask requirement is enforced, I won’t be doing any shopping. In some nearby counties you can’t even go to the park unless you’re wearing a mask and classes that are held in the park (yoga, meditation, etc) are cancelled thru at least the 15 of January.

How about we close the government for a year to stop the spread of bullsh*t

I think something people need to understand is that others disliking you is not a bad thing. When you are embodying your true authentic self, it creates fear in people who still operate from the ego. If you want to grow, heal and evolve you have to let go of wanting to be liked.

If you think the men who took up arms to fight in 1776 didn’t have families to feed, you’re wrong. Don’t hide behind your family or use them to justify cowardice. Children need principles more than stuff. They need examples more than the newest toy. Women need men they RESPECT as husbands. Family is why you lead…not why you follow.

I may do another “dump” later, who knows, not sure at this point if I’ll do “photo of the week” either. Maybe…who knows. With it being News Year’s Eve and all.
