Cognitive Dissonance
This is why people get upset
when their beliefs are challenged.
A mental conflict occurs when beliefs are contradicted by new information. This conflict activates areas of the brain involved in personal identity and emotional response to threats. The brain’s alarms go off when a person feels threatened on a deeply personal and emotional level causing them to shut down and disregard any rational evidence that contradicts what they previously regarded as ‘truth’.

I couldn’t imagine being on the left and watching right wing news for the first time and watching my head explode from a different perspective.
They’d probably have a hard time accepting it, a lot of them still won’t watch or accept a different viewpoint. Although some are waking up…I think.
We need brave people to stand up who are in positions of power. I don’t want to be a dooms predictor but I don’t know if things will turn around at this point. I hope I’m wrong
It’s happening. Although slow…the left is starting to freak out which is why you’re seeing the narrative change, pushing harder. They thought more people would fall in line, and since we didn’t, they need to push harder. We will have to deal with what’s been done, it won’t be easy. And they will keep pushing. But they don’t have the control they thought they would get. That, is a good thing.
