Holly’s frozen world

January 22, 2022

We had temperatures in the 40’s F (4.44C) earlier in the week, but it wasn’t enough to thaw us out completely. The only thing that really happened was make it NOT as dangerous to walk around outside. There are still some areas that are slick, dangerous – but at least we can get around a little bit. My boyfriend’s Tahoe (four-wheel drive) barely even breaks through.

This photo was taken on January 18, 2022, the rest were taken today ~ January 22, 2022. I know it looks like snow and ice – but the snow is frozen solid. We did manage to get most of the ice off the sidewalk, then I put non clumping kitty litter down to help the melting process.

Just some artsy photos…

After kneeling down to get these photos, I realized that I couldn’t get back up! I had to crawl backwards to get to a spot where I could get some grip to get back up? But aren’t the photos interesting? It was worth it – and I didn’t get hurt in the process.

Some places you can break through, even a little, but other places you can’t.

When I woke up this morning, it was only 13 degrees (-10.5C), only reaching a high of 31 (0.55C). Not sure what the temps are supposed to be tomorrow, but it’s going to be a while before we are completely thawed out, I believe! A good thing is, no precipitation in the immediate future. The storm we were supposed to get today went east.

  2. January 22, 2022 – down the lane
I know it doesn’t look like much of a difference, comparing these two photos…it’s just showing that we’re still in a deep freeze!

That’s all I have for now, so until next time…

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!

    • Thank you! For some reason, I’m always drawn to the lane – either looking out or in. You’ve seen a lot of these images, or quite a few anyway.

For a minute there, my keyboard was locked, don’t know what I did, but I’m back now!
      🙂
