Attack on the Sabbath

The Catholic Church claims:

“The Pope has the power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ.”

~ decretal de translat, Espiscop, Cap

“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change
the church ever did happened in the first century.
The holy day Sabbath was changed to Sunday…
not from any directions noted in the scriptures
but from the churches sense of its own power.
People who think that the scripture should be the whole authority
should logically become Seventh Day Adventists
and keep Saturday holy.”
~ Saint Catherines Catholic Church Sentinel

First off, who or what gives the church the right to change laws?
Biblical laws? Nowhere in the Bible, at least that I can find,
does it say “Go to church on Saturday or Sunday, or any day”…
The commandment is to keep it holy.
When God created the earth and all good things on this earth,
He took the seventh day and rested. That’s what He wants us to do as well.
Honestly, you can worship anywhere, any time you want.
You don’t have to go to church to worship Him.
You can worship Him in the garden, while you’re on your way to work…
What He wants is for us to take a day, to rest in Him, to praise Him.
We weren’t created or designed to “work” all the time,
this causes burnout, fatigue, depression, etc.
At that point, you will be forced to take time off…

…and for the record, I had no intention for today’s posts to be the way they were. All three were made on separate days, and it just happened to work out this way.
