my thoughts for today

I’ve got 15 days, as of today, until I reach my 200 mark. 200 days of posting at least 2 times every day, some days more. When I reach that day, I will be taking a break, although I doubt you will see much of a difference, except that I won’t be posting as much. My goal, about 200 days ago was to get as many photos off my cell phone as possible, and I have done that. I have finally started working on 2020…so I have about a year left. Considering I had photos dating back to 2014 on my phone, it is quite an accomplishment, I think. My plan when I reach 200 days is to take a week off, then I’ll pick back up and do what I do. We’ll see how that goes, as I love being here and sharing.

My son got me these lilies for Mother’s Day. They will be pink when they bloom. The weird thing is, I didn’t even know it was Mother’s Day weekend until this past Thursday. My son and I went shopping on Tuesday. I planted some Cosmos seeds as well, but there’s nothing where I planted them except dirt so no photos yet. Sorry.
Anything potted, that can go in one of my gardens, is very much appreciated. Even some kind of garden decoration will do. Don’t give me cut flowers, I will frown while I put them in a vase.
Anyway, I separated them and put them in my front garden, which has been steadily growing since 2014. I think. There will be a progress post soon. It’s come a long, long way!

is not gardening enough

~ I know it’s not the best picture, but that blue bird eating at the plate is an Indigo Bunting. There will be better pics in the future, I promise. I’m just glad it’s eating at the feeders, which I have started calling ‘the feeding station’. I will probably put up some kind of sign in the near future.

I plan on taking one of my camp chairs out in the morning hours and sitting there for however long I can stand to sit there, with my cell phone. I haven’t done it yet, as it has been too cold…too rainy…until now. It’s been about 48 hours since we last lit the wood stove.
It shouldn’t take long for the birds to get used to me sitting there. I’ve been putting food out for them and had them fly up, or buzz by my head. Or been working on the rock pathway and had them eating from the feeders not even five feet away. Even a hummingbird found it safe to sip from the feeder while I was standing there. My boyfriend says it’s because I’m the one that feeds them, but he’s walked by the feeders and not scared them off…I think it’s just that they’re used to us to a degree.

I think that’s about all I have for now.
