200 days

May 26, 2022

…all of the photos have been made and removed from my phone in the last 200 days…don’t worry, there aren’t 200 photos in this post!

The task that has fallen to us as Americans is to move the conscience of the world, to keep alive the hope and dream of freedom. For if we fail or falter, there’ll be no place for the world’s oppressed to flee to. This is not a role we sought. We preach no manifest destiny. But like the Americans who brought a new nation into the world 200 years ago, history has asked much of us in our time. Much we’ve already given; much more we must be prepared to give. — Ronald Reagan

Hard to believe it’s been 200 days! How did I get here? I will explain…and it all has to do with my cell phone! About 200 days ago I got a notice on my phone that I was running out of space. I knew I needed to do something. I could’ve just deleted most everything and moved on…but that’s not me. So I got this device so I could easily transfer photos from the cell phone to my computer…

I really didn’t intend on it taking me 200 days to accomplish this, but in reality, I had no idea how long it would take. A couple weeks ago, I decided that 200 days was long enough, especially since about 90% of the photos had been transferred.

It’s a neat and handy little thing. It has connections, not pictured, so you can connect different devices. Everything was fine and dandy until I got my new cell phone, a Motorolla. There was no attachment for my Motorola cell phone. So, I had to resort to emailing my photos to myself. Which is fine. When I had a few minutes of down time, I would email myself a handful of photos – between 3 – 10 photos at a time, depending on how big the photo was. As of right now, I have removed all of my photos up through and including 2020. Some of 2021 has already been transferred, but I’m not sure which ones…at this point, I should be pretty much finished with clearing everything off my phone. What I have left isn’t much.

My plan is to take the next week off. I’ll be concentrating on getting 2021 photos off my phone, which won’t be hard to do because I already have a good portion transferred. For the most part you shouldn’t notice any difference except that I am scaling way back on my posts…I won’t be making any new posts for the next week, but I’ll still be here for the most part. I do plan on taking a day off altogether so I can restart the count. I just haven’t decided which day that will be yet. Might be Saturday or Sunday. We’ll see what happens.

Hope you have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by!!
