1776 Restoration Movement: Monday Update

June 6, 2022

(not my image)

As I stated earlier, there was another rally on Sunday, June 5. This one was held later in the day – from 3pm to 8pm, and they had karaoke afterwards. For the last several nights, they’ve been having karaoke after their nightly meeting. I didn’t go, mostly because I am still dealing with the sunburn from the last rally.

From what I could see from the live streams, there were more people there than last weekend…which is a good thing. The food they had prepared for dinner that night looked awesome! Who can pass up pulled pork? Unless you’re a vegetarian. Anyway, we probably would have gone, if it weren’t for the sunburn. My boyfriend didn’t even ask if I wanted to go.

The Saluting Marine was there as a speaker. He has been saluting the bikers/vets at Rolling Thunder in DC since 2002, bringing awareness to veteran suicide. He has started a charity, “The Saluting Marine Cares”, which helps vets pay bills they otherwise couldn’t afford.

As always, Santa gave a fired up speech. He believes, as do I and many others, that we need to take action in a peaceful way – but he’s also aware that it may come to violence, which I think no one really wants. We need to get back to a moral country/society.

They also held two auctions, one of them silent, to help raise money for the movement.

Overall, I think it was a good day for them. The group is getting bigger, it seems by the day. They are having issues with trolls, which is to be expected, when you’re trying to do something good. The other night, they announced that a local Subway shop was donating 100 subs…it turned out to be a hoax. When it was discovered, someone stepped up and donated pizzas to them. I’m not really trying to focus on the negative, but really just wanted to let you know what they’re dealing with.

On a positive note: someone has donated a tent with AC, and several sun canopies and picnic tables. Being that they’re camped out on asphalt, with little shade, these items are truly needed.

That’s about all I can think of for the moment.
So I will close for now!

Hope you have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by!!

I am well aware of the toil and blood
that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration,
and support and defend these states.
Yet through all the gloom I can see rays
of ravishing light and glory
