You’re a Grand Old Flag is an American Patriotic march written by George M. Cohan, written in 1906 for his stage musical, George Washington, Jr.

The American Flag was officially authorized by the Continental Congress June 14, 1777.
Betsy Ross, of Philadelphia PA. is said to have made the first flag, at the request of George Washington.
