garden work

my thoughts for today

July super buck moon

WordPress is giving me a hard time, loading some photos…so if I share a post that has the same photo/image as a recently published post, I apologize. When I make the post, everything looks like it’s there, all fine and dandy, but then when I go to post it later the image isn’t there and I have to find the image I think I used for that post. I don’t know why…at this moment I think I fixed it, but who knows what will happen tomorrow.

So, anyway…

This morning I planted some seeds and worked on the foot path to the deck. I didn’t do much, but I am getting stuff done. I like to get things done in the morning before it gets too hot. Then, I can rest and take it easy in the afternoon, when the sun is the hottest.

gypsophila aka baby’s breath

I found the gypsophila seed packs at the dollar store and not knowing exactly what they were, I bought 3 packs at 25 cents each. I bought every pack they had. After planting the seeds, I looked them up and found that they are baby’s breath, which is fine. I planted them around the base of one of my rose bush transplants. I’d take a photo, but you won’t see anything but bare dirt. When they start to grow, I will be sure to share.

tomato plants
it does look like there’s a lot of gravel, but they’ll be fine

I did get the tomato plants in the ground a little late, but better late than never. Right? I may not get a whole lot of tomatoes, but the thing right now is knowing I can start the plants from seeds and I now have a place to put them. They are along the foot path but having them there I can keep an eye on them. I actually have more plants than I thought and had to put some in my flower garden out front. Where they are is fine…they’re really extras at this point. If they produce anything, yay, if not, oh well. I’ve got about 8, I think, in the footpath. Something like that. I should be able to get tomatoes until the first freeze. Next year, I might add some cucumber seeds alongside them.

baby oak

So, when I was walking around checking out my gardens a week or so ago, I found this baby oak (above). Where it is, I can’t just let it grow…too close to the house. As much as I would like to. It would provide awesome shade for the house during the summer months but could damage the house when it gets bigger. I don’t have a photo right now where I’m thinking about putting it, but where I’m thinking is in the garden where my lilacs and rose of sharons are, along the outside of my lane. Which means I will have to transplant my “black” crepe myrtle, but that’s okay. That crepe myrtle is still small and transplantable. The crepe myrtle will go in the garden in front of the house in the fall.

I think that’s about all for now, but here’s a video from Black Conservative Preacher

whistle girl is back! It is or was live.
In other news, Big D did get released from West Virginia, turned himself into Maryland and was released from there. He is back at the Bunker Hill WVA camp at the moment, promising to get back to DC soon.
I was going to share the Capitol Hill meeting from earlier this morning, but this happened. And yesterday, some confused people antagonized Santa on Capitol Hill. Black Conservative Preacher did video it. They followed him back to camp too.

So until next time,

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!

    • Yes, it can be. I’m trying to work around or with it, which can be time consuming. Especially when there are other things to do…oh well. As the saying goes, it’s not the end of the world and this too shall pass.
