Long-Lasting Great Depression Casserole: ask a prepper…“people turned to what was available, relying on the cheapest foods to make up fulfilling new recipes that will last them throughout the week or can even be canned and stored, all while still getting as much nutrition from meals as they could. Some of these recipes from the Great Depression turned out really good and stuck out in a way that still makes them worth trying even nowadays.” cheap! is the “main ingredient”.

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!

  1. Oh I love to make soup! Whatever I have available (I love lots of veggies), use them up in soup! Then freeze some of it for an easy single serving meal 😊 Never let extra food go to waste!

    • I don’t really like soup, my mom made me eat it when I was sick – which seemed like all the time. But I do like a good casserole.

      • That’s funny, I remember getting sick on one of my mom’s casseroles! But I still love them too 😊
