For the love of Winter?

Every season has its place…

Why yes, I do love winter!
Because being hot, stinky, sweaty,
sunburned and eaten alive by mosquitoes
is just not my thing!

I do love winter, for the break it brings. It’s not always an easy season though.

~ ice storm ~

We have been stuck back here for days! Not everyone can handle a life like this. But it is what it is. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

During this ice storm, there was absolutely nothing we could do about the tree…except wait for the ice to melt. The branches were literally frozen to the ground. Even when the ice did melt, it froze back up at night.

other years, not so bad

Not every year is “bad”
but there are memories to be had.
You take what you can get
and make the best of what you have.

~ we haven’t gotten much snow in the last two years, or I don’t have any on my computer ~

I’m not going to say I absolutely love winter, but I do appreciate the break it gives from gardening. Of course, winter has its challenges. It is 12F/-11C degrees outside as I write this – actual temperature. With the wind chill it feels like -5F/-15C. It’s cold! But we’re warm enough in the house. Next week the temps are supposed to get back to “normal”. We haven’t lost power yet, so, so far so good.

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!
