My dreams have been hit or miss lately, mostly because I force myself to wake up. And upon waking, I can’t remember what the dreams were. The only reason I can think of is because I was scared. Or I don’t want to know. Or both.

The first dream – peace – was an awesome dream. I was working in the garden, and a man came walking through. It was a bright, sunny day, and the flowers were in full bloom. I couldn’t see who it was, but I knew he was a good man. I could only see him from the knees down, as I was on my hands and knees – working in the garden. It was so peaceful and I was so full of joy. When he came walking through I got the most peaceful feeling. It felt like heaven.

How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Isaiah 52:7

A couple days later, I had a devastating dream, but one that didn’t affect me personally. The world was full of devastation, destruction, fire and chaos. It was horrific, but I was viewing it from afar. As much as I wanted to do something, there was nothing I could do.

The Lord is my shepherd;

² He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.

He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
⁶ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Is this a sign of things to come? I do know that as long as I keep my focus where it needs to be, let things happen as they’re supposed to, and try not to control everything, life stays pretty calm. Chaos and stress only happen when there is too much control, too much worldly influence.
