The boa constrictor loosens and tightens, very, very slowly, to suffocate and kill its prey.
Don’t mistake the loosening for escape;
they’re going to switch to a different plan while they try to get a better grip.
When they squeeze again, and there will be another squeeze, be ready to resist.
