my thoughts for today

I’m at a point in my life where I don’t even know the point I’m at,
but I’m at a point.

Forward I think!

What a frustrating day it’s been!!

My son and I left the house around 11:30am to get some shopping done. We stopped at the bank and then the gas station to put air in my tires. The air compressor wasn’t working! It wouldn’t adjust up to the pressure I needed. Neither was it working at the next two places we went with free air…I scrounged up some quarters and went to Exxon, thinking that would work. Nope!!! I had to sit there for a few minutes and get my cool back, because honestly, it shouldn’t be that hard to put air in the tires.

I had to do something, as I knew at least one of my tires was low – as I had lost a little bit with the first attempt to put air in the tire.

So, I went home and used the old, cheap air compressor. Which I probably should have done in the first place, but I figured it wouldn’t be much of a hassle. By the time I finished putting air in the tires, it was quarter after one and all I wanted to do was stay home, but I couldn’t because we needed milk and medicine and a few other things.

Then, when we were leaving Walmart, this car was stopped on the side of the road feeding a flock of geese! They had babies and two of the babies decided to chase each other in the road. I sat there for a moment, fuming at the couple for feeding the geese like that, then decided to get out of the car and chase the babies back to the side of the road – back onto the grassy knoll with their families, where they belong. All the while, the parents were hissing at me and I was telling the people not to feed the freaking birds on the side of the road! Of coarse, they couldn’t hear me, but still…

When everything was said and done, we didn’t get home until after 3pm. We stopped and got Roy Rogers on the way home, because after all that I really didn’t feel like dealing with food! Oh, and our three year old refrigerator is down and out for the summer! So, everything has to go downstairs…but that’s another story for another day.
